One of the biggest youth talents of the SWARCO Raiders, defensive linemen Reinhard Pardeller, was taken as the 4th Raider into the Austrian Military Sport Program after Florian Grein (2004), Markus Krause and Philipp Margreiter (both in 2009). With this, he comes one step closer to his goal of playing football at a college in the US. |
A Junior player on the National Team
With 18 year old Reinhard Pardeller and his 187cm tall and 110kg frame, he has the ideal size for his position in the first line of defense. He was the first Junior player to play on the National Team this year on the B-European Championship in Wolfsberg.
College Football: The Main Goal in View
'For the coming seasons I'd like to be with the SWARCO Raiders and help them reach our goals. Of course as a part of the National Team, I want to help us be as successful as possible in the A-EM 2010 in Frankfurt and at the 2011 World Championship in Austria. My main goal though is to be taken by a college football team from the USA. Along with my mentor Mario Rinner, I've been preparing for this for thelast year already. The opportunity I have to complete my service to the Austrian Military Sport Program is a once in a life time chance and I will take full advantage of this.' Explains Reinhard Pardeller.
Military Sport Commander Impressed
Vzlt Walter Hechenberger, Commander of the Military Sport Program 6 Innsbruck, has been rather impressed with the Football players from the SWARO Raiders: 'More than anything, goal oriented work is very impressive. It's unbelievable how successful these players and this sport are, despite the fact that it?s an amateur sport. In addition, that have a great partnership with the Tiroler Football Association, the athletes and the Austrian Military Sport Program.'
