A first day with punch was seen by the men around head coach Santos Carrillo in Villacher Lind-Stadium. After some initial difficulties in the first quarter, the offensive motor was put in gear and 6 touchdowns in three quarters was enough to walk away with a clear 41-7 victory.

In the first quarter the Black Lions got the best of the Tirolean defense as QB DJ Hernandez hooked up with Markus Pachernig for an exceptional 80 yard touchdown. These would remain though as the only points for the Black Lions on this day due to the tough minded will of the Defense of the SWARCO Raiders. They controlled the Carinthian offense and forced them to punt many times, held them to a mere 5 first downs and the strong run game around DJ Hernandey was held to 47 yds.
Marquay-Maqueira Connexion Two players stood out from the exceptional collective effort by the defense: US- Newcomer Marquay Love on the defensive line who led the defensice stats with 3,5 tackles and caused a great deal of pressure for the O-line. Conerback Lemay Maqueira also had an sensational game with 3,5 tackles and practically took Black Lions US-Star Receiver Ryan McGuire out of the game.
Full Steam Ahead in the 2nd and 3rd qtr. The offensive machine didn't get going until 12 minutes into the game. Neo-Quarterback Leon Jackson III had a very good first game for the Silver and Black completing 15 of 21 passes for 196 yards, 3 TDs and one interception. In the second quarter he served up receiver Andreas Pröller (22 yards), Philipp Heider (3 yards) and Jakob Dieplinger (10 yards) with TD-Passes. After three successful PATs from 16 year old Clemens Erlsbacher the score stood heading into the half at 21-7.
Tory Cooper Show In the second half US running back Tory Cooper showed that he too is capable of big plays and touchdowns. A 1-yard TD run as well as an unbelievable 49 yard race to the endzone showed the potential in him. With a total of 180 yards on just 14 attempts (12,8 yards per carry) led to his nomination as game MVP. Running Back Florian Grein didn't want to sit quietly by and from four yards out saw to it that he too stood in the endzone making the score 41-7.
