The team from the German capital is the exception to the otherwise all Austrian Champions-League competition. Along with the Raiders, the Turek Graz Giants and the Raiffeisen Vikings Vienna made it to the other semi final bracket.
'I am very proud of my guys. The starters as well as the second team really did a nice job. We started along the Defensive line all back ups and they really did their job well. This makes a coach really happy.' Had SWARCO Raiders head coach Santos Carrillo to say following the game. 'Leon and Tory had great games. Our receivers were also top notch. All in all I?m pretty satisfied witih this game.'
In the offense the SWARCO Raiders had a very convincing performance from running back Tory Cooper. On the day he had just 14 carries but totaled 139 yards and 2 TDs. Leon Jackson III completed 12 of 13 passes for 209 yards and threw 3 TDs. His favorite target was WR Andreas Proellet who caught 6 balls for 101 yards and a TD. The defense forced three turnovers and were able to keep the Firebats under control for the entire day.
It was another good day at Tivoli stadium where the Raiders always do a good job of 'protecting the house.'
