Der letzte A-Import der RAIDERS Tirol steht fest: Wide Receiver Darion Chafin schließt sich den Tirolern an und soll in der European League of Football für Furore sorgen.
Der Spieler
Chafin war 2024 bei den St. Louis Battlehawks im UFL Camp und wurde 2023 in der XFL Rookie-Draft ausgewählt, nachdem er schon Trainingsstationen bei den New England Patriots und den Green Bay Packers absolvierte. Seine starke College-Karriere am Cisco College (15 Spiele, 814 Yards, 8 Touchdowns) und vor allem an der University of the Incarnate Word (33 Spiele, 156 Receptions für 2388 Yards und 33 Touchdowns) weckten das Interesse von zahlreichen NFL und XFL-Teams. In der College-Saison 2022 stellte Chafin alles in den Schatten, er erzielte 18 Touchdowns, was sowohl einen neuen Universitätsrekord als auch die meisten Touchdowns der gesamten NCAA-Saison 2022 bedeutete. Nun wagt er den Sprung in die European League of Football und schließt sich den RAIDERS Tirol an.
