Ruben Seeber, Kapitän der RAIDERS Tirol und Herz der Defensive, wird auch im kommenden Jahr für die RAIDERS Tirol auflaufen. Der 24-jährige Linebacker verlängert seinen Vertrag bei seinem Heimatclub um eine weitere Saison.
Der Spieler
Ruben Seeber startete seine Football-Karriere im Nachwuchsbereich der SWARCO Raiders Tirol und spielte zunächst auf der Position des Quarterbacks. Ab der Saison 2016 war er als Backup-QB Teil der Kampfmannschaft, mit der er insgesamt vier österreichische Meistertitel und drei mal die CEFL Bowl gewinnen konnte. Der Wechsel auf die Linebacker-Position erfolgte schließlich im Jahr 2019, wo er sofort ein wichtiger Bestandteil des Defensivverbands und Leader im Lockerroom wurde.
Seit 2022 ist der österreichische Nationalteamspieler Teil der RAIDERS Tirol und in der vergangenen ELF-Saison kam Seeber auf 46 Tackles, 4 Tackles for Loss, einen erzwungenen Fumble und eine Fumble recovery. Insgesamt steht bisher Seeber bei 110 Tackles, 0.5 Sacks, 1 Interception und einem Offensive-Touchdown.

Ruben Seeber, captain of the RAIDERS Tirol and heart and soul of the defense, will continue to play for the RAIDERS Tirol next year. The 24-year-old linebacker has extended his contract with his home club for another season. He started his football career with the SWARCO Raiders Tirol youth program and initially played at the quarterback position. From the 2016 season onwards, he was the backup QB for the team, with whom he won a total of four Austrian championship titles and the CEFL Bowl three times. In 2019 he switched to the linebacker position, where he immediately became an important part of the defensive unit and leader in the locker room. The Austrian national team player has been part of the RAIDERS Tirol since 2022 – in the past ELF season Seeber made 46 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery. In total, Seeber has 110 tackles, 0.5 sacks, 1 interception and 1 offensive touchdown.
