Defensive Lineman Denis Butz wird auch in der kommenden European League of Football-Saison für die RAIDERS Tirol auflaufen. Der 34-Jährige ist seit 2017 in Innsbruck und ein absoluter Anker in der Defensive.
Der Spieler
Butz begann seine Karriere 2006 bei den Prague Lions. Ab 2007 spielte der Nose Tackle in München, zunächst bei den Munich Cowboys (2007-2009; 2015-2016), zwischenzeitlich bei den Munich Rangers (2013-2014). 2017 folgte der Schritt zu den SWARCO Raiders Tirol, mit denen er drei Mal die Austrian Bowl, sowie drei Mal die CEFL Bowl gewinnen konnte.
Seit 2022 ist Butz Teil der RAIDERS Tirol. In der Premieren-Saison kam Butz in zwölf Spielen auf 28 Tackles (2.5 for loss). Vergangenes Jahr stoppte ihn eine Verletzung, er kam auf sieben Einsätze und 11 Tackles (0.5 for loss).
