Die RAIDERS Tirol können mit Nick Kleinhansl einen der talentiertesten Trainer Österreichs in ihren Reihen begrüßen. Wie auch im österreichischen Nationalteam, wird sich Kleinhansl bei den RAIDERS Tirol um die Runningbacks und Tight Ends kümmern.
Die Personalie
Nick Kleinhansl startet mit 14 Jahren seine Spielerkarriere bei den Telfs Patriots und begann zusätzlich mit verschiedenen Coaching-Aufgaben. Schon mit 19 Jahren wurde er Nachwuchsleiter der Patriots und er konnte in den Nachwuchsmeisterschaften mit den Telfern drei Titel holen. 2018 übernahm er mit nur 22 Jahren die Herrenmannschaft der Telfs Patriots als Headcoach und führte sein Team in den folgenden Jahren von der Division 2 bis ins kleine Finale der AFL-Saison 2022. Seine starken Leistungen brachten ihm den AFL Coach of the Year Award 2022 ein. Wenig später wechselte er von der Seitenlinie ins Front Office der Patriots. Zusätzlich zu seiner Tätigkeit im Tiroler Oberland, bekleidet Kleinhansl seit 2020 das Amt des Runningbacks- und Tight End-Coaches des österreichischen Nationalteams. Mit dem Team konnte er sich im Oktober 2023 zum Europameister küren. Jetzt folgt der Schritt in die European League of Football.

With Nick Kleinhansl, the RAIDERS Tirol can welcome one of the most talented coaches in Austria to their ranks. As with the Austrian national team, Kleinhansl will be in charge of the running backs and tight ends for the RAIDERS Tirol.
Nick Kleinhansl started his playing career with the Telfs Patriots at the age of 14 and also took on various coaching roles. He became the manager of the Patriots‘ Youth teams at the age of 19 and won three titles in the youth championships with the Telfs Patriots. In 2018, at the age of just 22, he took over as head coach of the Telfs Patriots men’s team and led his team from Division 2 all the way through to the 2022 AFL playoffs. His strong performances earned him the 2022 AFL Coach of the Year Award. He moved from the sidelines to the Patriots‘ front office in 2023. In addition to his work with the Pats, Kleinhansl has held the position of running back and tight end coach of the Austrian national team since 2020. He was crowned European champion with the team in October 2023.
