Auch in der kommenden European League of Football-Saison können die RAIDERS Tirol auf die Dienste von Adrian Platzgummer zählen. Der frisch gebackene Europameister trägt seit 2001 silver & black und gilt seit Jahren als Vorzeige-Athlet auf und neben dem Platz.
Der Spieler
Adrian Platzgummer startete schon im Alter von sechs Jahren seine Football-Karriere bei den SWARCO Raiders Tirol und durchlief sämtliche Nachwuchsteams des Tiroler Footballclubs. Seit 2011 ist der Wide Receiver Teil der Herrenmannschaft und mittlerweile nicht mehr wegzudenken. Platzgummer zählt zu den erfolgreichsten Spielern in der Geschichte der RAIDERS, konnte sechs Mal die Austrian Bowl und drei Mal die CEFL Bowl gewinnen. Mit der österreichischen Nationalmannschaft wurde Platzgummer im vergangenen Oktober Europameister.
Vergangene Saison fing der ältere Bruder von Runningback Sandro Platzgummer 30 Bälle für 327 Yards und zwei Touchdown in zwölf ELF-Spielen. Nun kehrt der Kapitän für eine weitere Spielzeit zurück.

The RAIDERS Tirol can count on the services of Adrian Platzgummer in the upcoming European League of Football season. The newly crowned European champion has been wearing silver & black since 2001 and has been regarded as a model athlete on and off the pitch for years.
Adrian Platzgummer started his football career with the SWARCO Raiders Tirol at the age of six and went through all the junior teams of the Tyrolean football club. The wide receiver has been part of the men’s team since 2011 and is one of the most important parts of the team. Platzgummer is one of the most successful players in the history of the RAIDERS, winning the Austrian Bowl six times and the CEFL Bowl three times. Platzgummer became European champion with the Austrian national team last October.
Last season, the older brother of running back Sandro Platzgummer caught 30 balls for 327 yards and 2 touchdowns in 12 ELF games. Now the captain returns for another season.
