Matthias Rebl, seit letzter Saison in Innsbruck, geht in sein zweites Jahr bei den RAIDERS Tirol. Der vielseitige Defensive Back konnte 2023 mit einigen Big Plays für Furore sorgen.
Der Spieler
Matthias Rebl startete seine Karriere bei den Danube Dragons, für die er zwischen 2013 und 2022 die Footballschuhe schnürte. Mit den Wienern gewann der 30-Jährige 2022 die Austrian Bowl. Durch seine starken Leistungen wurde Rebl im selben Jahr zum Defense MVP seines Teams gewählt. Zur abgelaufenen Spielzeit wechselte der Safety an den Inn und in die European League of Football. Bei den RAIDERS Tirol kam er in zwölf Spielen zum Einsatz und auf insgesamt 49 Tackles (22 Solo, 27 Assists), eine Interception bzw. Pick-6 und 4 Pass Break Ups. Im Oktober wurde Rebl mit dem österreichischen Nationalteam Europameister.

Matthias Rebl, who has been in Innsbruck since last season, is entering his second year with the RAIDERS Tirol. He started his career with the Danube Dragons and played there from 2013 until 2022. The 30-year-old won the Austrian Bowl with his team in 2022. Thanks to his strong performances, Rebl was voted his team’s Defense MVP in the same year. The safety joined the RAIDERS Tirol for the past season.
